Bare-Root Beech Hedging 120-140cms highGreen Beech grows on most soils but does not like wet clay soils. It clips well and makes a solid hedge and is tolerant of light sandy soils and chalky soils. Hornbeam is more suited to heavy clay soils. Beech is similar to hornbeam in that the dead leaves hang on the hedge for most of the winter.
