Upright Hornbeam 8ft in a 20/25lt pot.
Upright hornbeam (Carpinus Betulus Fastigiata). These trees grow naturally in the shape of a gas flame and are all 8ft high. Because of their shape they make an excellent specimen tree as a focal point. Equally, they would make a good hedge but the dead leaves do not remain on the trees in the winter. Hornbeam is similar to beech hedging but thrives on heavy clay soils as well as chalky soils. For hedging these plants should be planted at 2ft (60cms) apart in a single row. Plant at 60cms apart .THESE TREES ARE TOO BIG TO SEND BY CARRIER AND CAN ONLY BE DELIVERED LOCALLY WITH OUR OWN TRANSPORT.
