These bare root Crab Apple Trees are all standard trees are a striking ornamental feature addition to any garden. This is an ornamental Crab Apple known as Evereste (the full Latin name is Malus ‘Evereste’). They have excellent blossom in the spring and attractive clusters of fruit in the autumn followed by their leaves turning a yellow bronze colour and falling for the winter.
These Crab Apple trees are all bare root, that is to say that they are field grown and have been lifted from the field for sale without any soil around the roots. They should, therefore, be planted as soon as possible after purchasing to avoid their roots drying out and can only be purchased during the colder months of the year. They are all at least 300cm (10ft) tall although most are in fact taller than that. Trees of this size should be planted using tree stakes and ties to help prevent them from blowing around too much in their first years of establishment until their roots have become properly settled.
Due to the size of these trees, we will need to quote for delivery on an individual basis. Please telephone us to discuss delivery of your plants. Plants can, of course, be collected from our nursery free of charge.
In addition to Crab Apple trees, we also supply a range of other medium sized specimen trees that are suitable for planting as feature specimens in any garden. Please see our trees page for more details on other trees available.
