Pyracantha Hedging

Pyracantha hedging can make an excellent evergreen hedge. It has extremely prickly thorns which is why it is also known by its common name of Firethorn. It produces white flowers in the spring which are followed by an abundance of coloured berries (red, yellow and orange) in the autumn which provide an excellent source of food for birds.

Pyracantha hedging can either be trained along a fence or wall or grown as a standalone hedge. Its aggressive thorns make it a favoured choice for those wishing to plant a security hedge to keep people out of the garden.
